Camps and Clinics

North Country Horses offers camp programs throughout the year, with our most popular camp being our Summer Horsemanship Camp. We welcome all children ages 6 and up, with or without riding experience! Our camp focus is not just on riding, we have a strong focus on horsemanship and team building between both horse and rider and between our campers as well. More about our camps…

NCH Day Camps are offered to any Child, ages 6 and oldeR, with or without riding experience*. The camper must be 6 or older by their camp week. Riders will be grouped according to skill level during lessons. At the beginner level, riders will learn how to be safe and comfortable around the horses. Riders will learn the basics of riding including walk, halt, steering, and beginning to work at the posting trot. At the intermediate to advanced level, our campers will continue to work on skills learned in the past including; trotting on correct diagonals, balance of horse and rider, bending of horse, progress to or solidify canter or lope and work on identifying correct leads & jumping if riding level warrants. The focus will be on more advanced riding skills, including preparation for horse shoW.

-Parents are required to provide their child with a bag lunch and plenty of water.

-Please make sure to fill out and sign all required release forms the forms page of our website, www.ridench.com.

-Please note NCH Summer Camp programs are usually non-refundable. We will make considerations on a case by case basis when the situation involves COVID-19. If you need to cancel or we need to cancel, camp fees will be returned in full, minus a $20 processing fee.

About the Clinic:

This NCH Academy session is being offered to any NCH student, child or adult.  Riders will participate in various activities to learn about All aspects of safety at the barn. As always, activities may be mounted or unmounted and will involve working with our amazing NCH horses.  The session will be run by - TBD **Clinic will be held at the barn on the corner of Clark and Rt.32.
