More about our Summer Horse Camp program…
Do you have a horse crazy kid? Is your child begging to ride or just to be around horses? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, North Country Horses Summer Horse Camp is for them!
NCH’s Summer Horse Camp is for children with or without horse experience. Campers will learn basic horse knowledge and how to safely be around, handle and ride our horses. Campers will gain self confidence and learn lifelong skills such as independence, responsibility and decision making.
Camp weeks at NCH run Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm. The days will start off with get to know me games and we will quickly move onto horse care and handling. Campers will learn to properly prepare their horses for riding through grooming and tacking. Each day campers will participate in a mounted session. Campers will be able to learn at their own pace as they gain confidence and skill in the saddle. We will offer unmounted activities with our horses as well. Campers will learn proper handling and ground skills with our horses too! Campers will be asked to bring a bagged lunch. In the afternoon campers will watch demonstrations given by advanced riders, jumping, reining and dressage are just a few. Campers will be offered an arts and craft activity or be able to choose a barn activity instead in the afternoons. Come to camp dressed for our theme days! Western Wednesday and Funky Fun Friday!
North Country Horses is offering their Horse Camp to campers 6 to 12 years old.
All campers will have to wear a shoe or boot with a heel and long pants for riding and horse activities but are welcome to bring a change of clothes for unmounted activities.
All campers will have to sign North Country Horses Riding Release Form prior to the start of camp.
Please note North Country Horses Summer Camp programs are non-refundable and non-transferable.
